KOCHI: Kelvinator expects a 10 per cent market share in Kerala. Director-marketing & sales, Kitchen Appliances India Limited, Anil Khera said three lakh refrigerators were expected to be sold this year. About 60 per cent of the sales in Kerala took place during the Onam season. The Kelvinator brand had 34 models of refrigerators. "The sales campaign in south India has started from Kerala. Kitchen Appliances India Limited is handling the Sansui brand. The infrastructure of Sansui will be utilised for the Kelvinator sales campaign," he said. The Kelvinator range of products included refrigerators, air conditioners, microwave ovens. Washing machines would be added soon. The turnover for the current year for Kelvinator in India was expected to be Rs.300 crores, he said. Mr. Khera said Sansui was introducing a new range of LCD television sets during the Onam season. "It is launching a Fly for Sure scheme for the Sansui range of television sets. The customer buying the higher range of TVs will be allowed to choose a destination in India for a free return air ticket. It is also launching a scratch card scheme and a special `Onapadakkam' scheme on the occasion of Onam."
