THANJAVUR: Host A.V.V.M. Sri Pushpam College, Poondi and SASTRA Deemed University moved into the semifinals of the AVVM inter-collegiate basketball tournament here on Wednesday. While Pushpam College beat Bishop Heber College (Tiruchi) 63-40, SASTRA Deemed University downed JJ College of Arts and Science, Pudukottai 52-47 in the quarterfinals. Annamalai University scored a 25-23, 25-20 win over Jamal Mohamed College (Tiruchi) to claim the volleyball title on Tuesday.
