CHANDIGARH: The Haryana Government will celebrate the birth anniversary of Rajiv Gandhi as "Rajiv Gandhi Akshay Urja Diwas" on August 20 at a State level function to be held at Panchkula. Stating this here on Wednesday, Deputy Chief Minister Chander Mohan said that several programmes would be organised including essay writing, painting and slogan writing competitions at the district level. Also, panchayats that had done commendable work in conserving energy would be awarded at the function. Energy Conservation Awards would also be given to various organisations.
