5 killed in Imphal blast

Imphal: Five persons were killed and 28 others, including a foreigner were injured when a powerful bomb exploded in the complex of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON) here on Wednesday evening when the shrine was teeming with devotees on Janmasthami. The toll might go up because some of the injured were in critical condition, sources in the Regional Institute of Medical Science and Hospital said.

No individual or organisation has claimed responsibility for the explosions, official sources said. — PTI
