Drawing contest held

BANGALORE: Akshara Foundation, a city-based non-governmental organisation supporting the education of underprivileged children, along with CitiFinancial, recently organised a drawing competition for children attached to 12 NGOs and government-run schools. As many as 200 students participated in the competition, with two categories each from standards 4 to 7. The participants were entertained with a magic show.

CitiFinancial will sponsor the education of two winners of the competition for one year. It will also develop a tabletop calendar from the 12 best drawings, which will be given away to people from their branchesto promote awareness on universal child education. These 12 students will also get an education kit from CitiFinancial.
