FACA appeal

Staff Reporter

HYDERABAD: The Federation of Associations of Colonies and Apartments (FACA), has appealed to the authorities to demolish dilapidated houses in the city after making alternative arrangements for the inhabitants.

Federation general secretary V. Kamesh Babu in a release said that the municipal corporation identified 726 dilapidated and unsafe buildings in the city. But people continued to live in such dwellings unable to afford the construction cost.

If necessary long-term loans should be sanctioned to them for taking up construction, he added.
