Tata Sky DTH also includes movies-on-demand

CHENNAI: If the rain is keeping you indoors and there is precious little to do, turn to your television. With the launch of the Tata Sky DTH in 300 cities, viewers in Chennai will be able to watch more channels with better quality.

Tata Sky has set up a pan-India distribution network of popular consumer outlets for retailing its hardware besides prepaid recharge vouchers distributed through several electronic stores such as LG, ITC International Business Division and Indian Oil Corporation outlets.

To renew subscription, a subscriber will need to purchase a prepaid recharge voucher from the nearest Tata Sky retail outlet.

Details can be had by calling Tata Sky helpline (MTNL/BSNL - 19014256633 and South and East -040 66006633).

The hardware comes at a price of Rs. 2,999 with installation charges of Rs. 1,000. The hardware can be moved in case you change your address.

Housing societies can use a single dish in each building block and take connections to the individual home decoders.

"Tata Sky will be directly responsible for installing and servicing the hardware at every subscriber's home, thereby ensuring the highest levels of customer service," assures Vikram Kaushik, Managing Director & CEO, Tata Sky Ltd.

The services provided include movies0-on-demand.
