Legal awareness camp at Tirukkanur

Pondicherry: Officials and functionaries of Pondicherry Legal Services Authority (LSA) and the volunteers of the National Service Scheme attached to the Dr Ambedkar Government Law College here held a legal awareness camp at Tirukkanur village recently. The Pondy District Judge Member Secretary, LSA, D. Ramabathiran said in a release that the team comprised the lecturer from the college Vincent Arputham, the Duty Counsel, LSA, P. Varadhan, advocates Ms. C.K. Ajithakumari and O. Fathima Bai. They were assisted by a batch of 55 students.

The team received 320 petitions relating to legal and non-legal issues. He said that "on the spot legal advice" was given to petitioners.
