dated August 18, 1956: President at Gandhigram

An exhortation to workers engaged in village uplift to carry on their work with determination was made by the President, Dr. Rajendra Prasad, while inaugurating the Rural Institute at Gandhigram on August 17. The President, accompanied by Mr. Sri Prakasa, Governor, and Mr. K. Kamaraj, Chief Minister, left Madurai in the morning for Gandhigram. On arrival, he was received by Mr. G. Ramachandran, Director.
