Paritala murder: court turns down plea of accused

ANANTAPUR: The District and Sessions Court here on Thursday turned down the plea of 10 out of the 16 accused in the Paritala Ravindra murder case on their shifting from Cherlapalli and Chenchalguda prisons in Hyderabad to district jail near here.

District and Sessions Judge K. Gaddenna dismissed their petitions ruling that it was not necessary at this stage of the case. Though the CBI had filed chargesheet against the accused the court is yet to frame charges against them.

Accused in the case, P. Narayana Reddy, V. Rekhamaiah, M. Obi Reddy, V. Kondaiah, V. Srinivasulu B. Ranganayakulu, G. Venkatrami Reddy, T. Peddi Reddy, T. Konda Reddy and V. Hanumantha Reddy had made the plea.

The petition filed on behalf of another accused K. Rammohan Reddy on his willingness to meet the investigating officers of the CBI will come up for hearing on Friday. It is learnt that Rammohan Reddy had expressed his willingness to turn an approver for the CBI.
