Digvijay Singh warns against `power' politics

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: AICC general secretary Digvijay Singh cautioned ZP and MPP representatives not to utilise their position to recover the amounts they spent in contesting the recent elections. "I can't imagine the amount spent by the candidates during the elections.

But, you must not make any attempt to recover the money," he said. Any wrongdoing on the part of PR representatives would reflect on the Congress Government, he noted. Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy referred to the findings of a recent survey conducted by The Hindu and CNN-IBN and said that popularity of AICC president Sonia Gandhi and Prime Minister Manmohan Singh had gone up.
