Diwakar Reddy's brother surrenders

Staff Reporter

ANANTAPUR: Brother of Minister for Panchayat Raj and Endowments J.C. Diwakar Reddy and Vice-Chairperson of Tadipatri Municipality J.C. Prabhakar Reddy surrendered himself in the Junior Civil Judge Court at Tadipatri on Thursday. He was released on bail immediately.

A case was registered against Mr. Prabhakar Reddy on August 12 following a complaint lodged by Dharmavaram CI A. Srinivasulu saying that the former had barred him and other policemen from discharging their duties and used harsh language in Chukkaluru village on that morning.

Congress supporters allegedly targeted houses of CPI supporters after Congress leader P. Kulasekhar Reddy's charred body was found in his car under suspicious circumstances on August 11 night.
