Mumbai: S.B. Billimoria & Co., the Board of Control for Cricket in India's Chartered Accountants, have told the BCCI Finance Committee members in Chennai that the specific resolution empowering only the secretary and treasurer to operate the INDCOM (World Cup 1996) account with the Indian Overseas Bank, Bhowanipore Branch, was supreme and that former BCCI President Jagmohan Dalmiya had no right to operate the account after he completed his term as secretary in 1997. A BCCI source said the representative of S.P. Billimoria & Co. owned up certain lapses at the Finance Committee meeting. S.B. Billimoria & Co. audited the INDCOM account up to March 2005 on the basis of the documents maintained in Kolkata by Mr. Dalmiya, but it has not received any document from April 2006. The BCCI too has received letters from former treasurers Kishore Rungta and Jyoti Bajpai stating that all they received was the bank statement of the INDCOM account and have never seen the book of accounts and other supporting documents.
