SBI beats AC Guards

Hyderabad: State Bank of India defeated AC Guards 4-2 in the A-1 Division hockey league championship after leading 4-1 at the break at the Begumpet Police Stadium here on Thursday.

AC Guards took the lead in the fifth minute through Amar. But the bankmen equalised through Sanjay Kumar in the seventh minute. Thereafter, Nagaraj struck twice in the 11th and 24th minutes and Gyanchand in the 27th minute to complete the tally for the winner. Later, Syed Ibrahim scored off a solo effort to reduce the margin for the losers.
