BSNL employees stage strike

MANGALORE: The members of Dakshina Kannada district BSNL Employees Union staged a hunger strike seeking fulfilment of their various demands in front of the office of Principal General Manager, BSNL, here on Thursday. The strike was part of a nation-wide protest and was organised on directions given by United Forum of BSNL unions in this regard.

The union accused BSNL management of failing to fulfil demands put forward by the forum. B.P. Narayana, district secretary of the union said the main demands include implementation of decisions taken at the national council meetings.
