Central team arrives to assess flood damage

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: A seven-member Central team arrived here from Delhi late on Thursday night for a three-day visit of the flood-affected areas in the State to assess the extent of damage caused to property and crops.

Disaster Management Commissioner Preeti Sudan will brief the team on the loss suffered in the districts in the floods at the guesthouse on Friday with the help of a photo exhibition. Following this, the members will proceed for field visits.

The teams are expected to return by Sunday for a wrap-up meeting with Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy before leaving for Delhi in the night.
