Case against Coca Cola

BANGALORE: The Government has filed a case against the multinational firm, Coca Cola, after laboratory tests revealed that its soft drinks contained the pesticide "Malathion" beyond the limits prescribed. The case, filed before the Court of Small Causes here on August 18, was admitted on Friday, according to the Minister for Health, R. Ashok.

Mr. Ashok told presspersons that the case was filed in the Court of Small Causes under the provisions of the Prevention of Food Adulteration Act, 1954.
