KOCHI: A tanker lorry carrying sulphuric acid from the Udyog Mandal division of the FACT to the Cochin division developed a leak at Seaport-Airport road on Friday morning. No one was injured in the incident that took place at 7 a.m, Fire Force officials said. Nearly 50 litres of acid leaked from the tanker, which was carrying around 8,000 litres. The leaked acid was neutralised by spraying chemicals and water. The tanker was moved to the side of the road when the leak developed and accidents were avoided, Fire Force officials said. Later, the FACT officials removed the acid to a new tanker. - Staff Reporter
