Two arrested on burglary charge

MYSORE: The K.R. Police and the City Crime Branch have arrested a couple on the charge of burglary and have recovered gold ornaments worth Rs. 90,000.

The police said Gowramma (21) and V. Manju (24) were involved in the burglary of a house in Lakshmipuram. The police said the duo gained entry into the residence of Sharathchandra Raje Urs on August 12, and had decamped with gold ornaments.

Killed

A trader was killed on the spot when his two-wheeler collided with another one on Chamundi Hills on Thursday. Police said Gulbar Baig (54), resident of Ganeshnagar, was on his way to Chamundi Hills when the incident took place. The police said Bhavani Shankarvehicle rammed into Gulbar Baig's vehicle. Bhavani Shankar and his pillion rider suffered minor injuries .
