CHENNAI: Upasana Upadhyay and four other students of Padma Seshadri Bala Bhavan, K.K. Nagar, are enacting the power of women through yogasanas, as part of a triennial educational project titled `Sthree' organised by the schools group. The demonstration started on Thursday and will go on till Sunday. The presentation includes `Madhuraanandam' by nursery children about the love of the mother. `Vanithamani' by students of classes one to three is a presentation of live models from Indian legends and mythology. `Vishwadharinee' is by students of classes IV and V and focuses on the influence of geography on women. There was also a video presentation on `Om Jai Gange Mata.' The Social Science department presented `Saga of Women,' while it was `Fair Reflections' in English. The title of the Maths exhibition was `Numero Uno,' and in Science, it was `Cord Accord.' The languages section had `Ilakkiathil Penmani' in Tamil, `Abalaa Se Sabalaa' in Hindi and `Sathyavadhini' in Sanskrit. The other themes for the exhibitions include IT waves, arts and crafts and sports. The cultural programme also included an audio-visual presentation `A tribute to womanhood,' by Indira Vaidyanathan, principal of the K.K. Nagar school.
