Sadbhavana Divas

CHENNAI: Sadbhavana Divas was observed at the Chennai Corporation office on Friday on the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister, Rajiv Gandhi. Deputy Mayor R. Thyagarajan, Corporation Commissioner M.P. Vijayakumar and other members of the Corporation participated.

Train cancellation

Due to line and power blocks in connection with engineering work between Basin Bridge-Tiruvottriyur and Korukkupet yard, Train Number, MG-1 Moore Market Complex to Gummidipoondi local, leaving Moore Market at 12.15 a.m. will be cancelled from August 19 to 27, except on Wednesdays.

Temple cleaning service by SEVAS

SEVAS is organizing temple cleaning service at Damodara Perumal Koil, Villivakkam on Sunday between 8.30 a.m. and 1.30 p.m. To participate in the service or in the Srivari Seva Service at Tirumala, volunteers may register their names with G.R. Kumbabhishekam

The kumbabhishekam of Sri Varasiddhi Vinayagar Temple, Nanganallur is scheduled for Sunday between 10 a.m. and 11.30 a.m. Swami Bahgavathy Siddhar will preside over the function. For further details, contact Santhanakrishnan, chairman of the temple over: 22327131/ 22324344/ 94449 04344.

Mahakumbabhishekam

The Jeernodharana Ashtabandhana Mahakumbabhishekam of the Sri Devi Kanaka Durgaiyamman Sannidhi at the Anjaneyar Temple in Pallavaram will be held on Sunday between 6.30 a.m. and 8 p.m.

T.M. Anbarasan, Minister for Employment and Brahmachari Vinayamrita Chaitanya will participate.
