BANGALORE: Rotary Bangalore Midtown and Brigade Group on Thursday launched an initiative to recognise talent among youth in the State. The organisations launched the "Young Achiever 2006" award for people who are below 25 years and have significant achievement to their credit. A team of four members, each below 25 years, can also appl. The contest is open to applicants in fields of community service, social work, agriculture, environmental awareness, communication, film, fine arts, literature, music, dance, theatre, sports, science, innovation and entrepreneurship. A selected individual / team will be awarded a cash prize of Rs. 1 lakh, a trophy and a citation. The last date for applying for the award is September 23. The award will be announced on October 28.
