TAMBARAM : A 32-year-old woman software professional died on the spot when the scooter she was riding was hit by a speeding lorry at Medavakkam near Tambaram on Thursday.

Pallikaranai police identified the victim as Subha Srinivasan working in Infosys. A resident of Nanganallur, Subha was travelling on the road connecting Medavakkam with Sholinganallur on her two-wheeler.

The lorry hit the scooter. Subha was run over by the lorry engaged by a building contractor to transport mud.
