Sea gulls found dead

Staff Reporter

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The carcasses of dozens of sea gulls were found washed ashore on the beach adjacent to the Primary Health Centre at Veli on Thursday morning.

Corporation councillor Veli Varghese told The Hindu that it was not immediately clear why the birds died in such numbers.

When the stench in the area became unbearable, the local people buried the carcasses, Mr. Varghese said.
