Fisherman drowned

Thiruvananthapuram: The Marine Police have recovered the body of a 46-year-old fisherman who was thrown overboard when two fishing boats collided at the mouth of the Vizhinjam harbour early on Friday. The deceased was identified as Davidson, a resident of Charivila colony in Vizhinjam. The accident occurred around 1 a.m. on Friday. The sea rescue party found the body floating off Karinkulam, nearly 9 kms away by land from the mouth of the harbour. — Staff Reporter

KUWJ protests against attack

Thiruvananthapuram: The Kerala Union of Working Journalists (KUWJ) has expressed protest over the attack on the crew of Amrita TV. A press note issued by KUWJ office-bearers urged the Government to book the culprits at the earliest.
