Applications invited: Applications have been invited for the entrance test for admission to the 50 per cent merit seats for the four-year degree course in hotel management and catering newly sanctioned at the Lourdes Matha Institute of Technology, Kuttichal. Those who have 50 percent aggregate marks in the higher secondary / technical higher secondary/vocational higher secondary examinations conducted by the Government of Kerala can apply. The application forms can be had from the College from August 21. The details of the entrance test would be notified later.

Botany viva: The viva of the second semester M.Sc. Botany examinations would be held at the FMN College, Kollam, the NSS College, Pandalam (Augsut 25, 26, 28 and 29), at the SD College Alappuzha, SN College, Cherthala, SN College Kollam (August 28, 29, 30 and 31) and at the Christian College Kattakkada, Government Women's College, Thiruvananthapuram, the MG College, Thiruvananthapuram, the University College, Thiruvananthapuram (September 12, 13, 15, 16). The viva would be held from 9.30 a.m. onwards.

MD Homeopathy: Applications for the part two MD Homeopathy examinations beginning November 3 can be submitted without fine till October 6 and with a fine of Rs.50 till October 10.

Communicative English: The viva of the BA Communicative English (restructured) examinations held in June this year will be conducted at the SD College Alapuzha (August 21), Naipunya College, Cherthala (August 22), SN College Punalur (August 23, 24), SG College Kottarakkara (August 25), St. Johns' College Anchal (August 28, 29), Iqbal College Peringamala ( August 29, 30), KNM Arts and Science College Kanjiramkulam( Augsut 31, September 1) and at the All Saints' College, Thiruvananthapuram (August 24, 25) from 9.30 a.m. onwards.

Vacancy: There are vacancies in the SC /ST category for various courses in UIT centres. Candidates interested in getting admission should contact the respective UIT principal with relevant documents before August 26.

MA Psychology: The results of the MA Psychology (2004-06) credit and semester examinations have been published. The first rank goes to Archana Chandran.
