Puthuvype land for yacht unit

KOCHI: The district administration has identified 65 acres in Puthuvype to set up a yacht-manufacturing centre with modern facilities.

Collector A.P.M. Mohammed Hanish said that two companies had already expressed interest in getting land for establishing the facility. The Kerala Shipping and Inland Navigation Corporation had shown interest in setting up a modern boatyard in 10 acres at Puthuvype. A private company had also asked for 20 acres to set up a yacht-manufacturing centre. Yacht and water sports equipment manufacturers had also evinced keen interest in the project.
