Village chaupal inaugurated

NEW DELHI: Delhi Development Minister Rajkumar Chauhan inaugurated a newly built pond and village chaupal at Bakner in East Delhi on Saturday.

The local Member of Parliament, Sandeep Dikshit, and local MLA Charan Singh Kandera were among those present.

The pond and chaupal have been constructed by the Irrigation and Flood Control Department at an estimated cost of Rs. 31.4 lakh and Rs. 27.1 lakh.

Mr. Chauhan said "the Government is fully committed to development of the Capital's rural areas" and added that 250 chaupals have been constructed so far.
