Works of photographers on display at `Infocus'

Actor R. Parthiban and cinematographer Arvind Krishna inaugurated the exhibition

CHENNAI: World photography day was celebrated by the Ambitions Photography Club and Ambitions Photography Academy by organising a photography exhibition titled `Infocus 2006' at the Lalith Kala Academy here.

Actor R. Parthiban along with cinematographer Arvind Krishna inaugurated the exhibition on Saturday.

Open till August 24, the expo showcases 150 works of about 30 budding photographers on various subjects.

Cinematographer Arvind Krishna of `Pudhupettai' fame said each photograph showed human emotions, scenic beauty and some important events.

According to K.L. Raja Ponsing, founder of the Academy and the Club, `Infocus' is an annual activity to showcase young talent and create greater awareness about photography as an art and a powerful visual medium.
