KOZHIKODE: Abdul Rafeeq, one of the five suspected Students Islamic Movement of India (SIMI) activists arrested at Aluva on Tuesday last, was brought to Kozhikode on Sunday. A police team led by Aluva Dy.SP E.T. Mathew took him to a flat, a telephone booth and an Internet café in the city. Some people in the flat reportedly recognised Rafeeq. The investigation team also took him to the bookstalls in the city which were raided on Friday. The police were checking the books seized during the raid. On Wednesday, the police conducted a search in the office of the Jamaat-e-Islami, Hira Centre, Mavoor Road, here after it was found that a book seized from Rafeeq had been issued from the library.
