BANGALORE: The city's TV-savvy children got a big opportunity to meet and spend time with their favourite toon stars at fun-filled event organised by the kids' channels Cartoon Network and POGO at the St. John's Auditorium here.

Getting their riveting attention were the dance performances by the toon stars Scooby Doo, Johny Bravo, Tom & Jerry and Noddy.

Organised to engage the viewers in activities beyond the scope of television, the "Fun Day Out with Cartoon Network and POGO" turned out to be a crowd-puller with big doses of fun, frolic and fanfare.

Local flavour

The cartoon characters rendered a local flavour to the event as they danced to foot-tapping tunes from different parts of the region. The crowd not only cheered the performing toon stars but also matched steps with them.

There was more entertaining stuff in store for the whole family with some interesting on and off-stage games such as "Dance Like Noddy" and "POGO Trivia." The children also enjoyed playing the special Cartoon Network and POGO games.

The games included puzzles such as "Back Where They Belong," "Wheel of Fortune," "Tiny TV Play Area, "Beyblade," where the young ones got a chance to show off their beyblading skills. This event included a huge canvas on which the children scribbled and drew their messages.

As a special treat, Rob, the popular television host of M.A.D. made a surprise appearance at the event.

He demonstrated some on-the-spot "fun" things with his canvas and art supplies, especially for the children.

The gala day came to an end with all the toons--Scooby Doo, Powerpuff Girls, Johny Bravo and Noddy performing together on popular chartbuster songs.
