KRL enters final

KOCHI: A 229-run first innings lead helped Kochi Refineries Limited (KRL) enter the final of the 18th K.T.R.Varma memorial cricket tournament at Ambalamugal on Sunday.

KRL, which made 348 for seven in the allotted 65 overs in its first innings, restricted Muthoot Ernakulam CC to 119 with medium-pacer Prasanth Paramesh taking five wickets.

The scores: KRL 348 for seven and 92 for one in 20 overs (G.P. Unnikrishnan 66 not out) vs. Muthoot ECC 119 in 41 overs (Ajay Jayakumar 42, Prasanth Paramesh five for 20). — Principal Correspondent.
