on Infosys

KOCHI: Kris Gopalakrishnan, president and Joint Managing Director of Infosys Technologies Limited, will make a presentation on the `Success Story of Infosys' at a function to be organised by The Indus Entrepreneurs at Hotel Casino at 6.30 p.m on August 21. The presentation would cover various aspects of the start-up phase, early struggles, reforms and competency factors, according to a press release.

Literary programme

KOCHI: Sacred Heart College is organising `Sargapadham 2006,' an all-Kerala inter-collegiate literary programme, from August 21 to 23. A symposium on `the crisis in higher education in Kerala' would be held on August 21 at the college auditorium at 11 a.m. The speakers include A. Sukumaran Nair, former Vice-Chancellor of M.G. Free service camp

KOCHI: Agency for Non-Conventional Energy and Rural Technology plans to conduct a free service camp for solar photovoltaic devices distributed in Ernakulam district through the agency. It would be held from August 29 to September 1 at the district office of the agency near the Civil Station. Church meet ends

KOCHI: Delegates at the first-ever global convention of Syro-Malabar Catholic Church emigrants have called for an end to the "injustice of confining the Syro-Malabar Church to a limited territory in India." The call came on Sunday, the last day of the three-day convention, attended by 365 delegates representing 8.5 lakh Syro-Malabar Catholic migrants in across the nation as well as in the United States, Europe, West Asia, Australia, etc.
