Police officers undergo training in Chennai

Pondicherry: A team of 20 police officers (five inspectors, ten sub-inspectors and five assistant sub-inspectors) from Pondicherry is undergoing a five-day intensive training from Monday at the Tamil Nadu State Judicial Academy in Chennai to hone up their investigation skills and also to augment their knowledge of law. A release from the office of Senior Superintendent of Police (Crime and Investigation) of Pondicherry said here that the Judge of Madras High Court, who inaugurated the training programme for the officers, exhorted them to show compassion during investigation and also discharge their duty with human dignity. Chary Sharma, the Senior Superintendent of Police (Crime and Investigation), S. Vimala, the Director of the Academy, Murugesan, the Senior Public Prosecutor for Pondicherry at Madras High Court, Harikrishnan, the AD of the Academy and N.T. Sivadasan, the Superintendent of Police (Police Training School in Pondy) participated.
