BJP Yuva Morcha workers' meet

Madikeri: The BJP Yuva Morcha workers' meet to organise the unit in the district and chalk out various programmes would be held in Gonicoppa in Virajpet taluk on Wednesday, president of the Virajpet taluk morcha, Rajeev Bopaiah, said here on Monday.

The State Yuva Morcha chief and MLA, C.T. Ravi, Mangalore MP and the State president of the BJP, D.V. Sadananda Gowda, would take part in the meet, Mr. Bopaiah told presspersons.

The meet would discuss various issues and pass resolutions against a few projects, which, he said, were not in the interests of the district. Some of those issues were setting up of mini hydel projects in Kodagu, cow slaughter and sale of beef, religious conversions and others, Mr. Bopaiah said.

Virajpet MLA H.D. Basavaraj, district BJP unit president S.G. Medappa, zilla and taluk panchayat members of the party, supporters in the gram panchayat, would attend the meet, he added.
