Jet belly-lands, no casualties

BANGALORE: A Kiran fighter jet of the Indian Air Force (IAF) had a belly-landing at the HAL Airport in Bangalore on Monday afternoon. However, there were no casualties. On account of the belly-landing, operations at the airport were suspended temporarily. Deputy Commissioner of Police (East) P. Muniswamy told The Hindu that the wheels of the fighter jet did not open during landing, forcing the pilots to make a belly-landing at around 4.10 p.m.
