KOLLAM: Tension erupted at the Government Victoria Hospital for Women here on Monday morning following the death of a baby soon after birth. Relatives of its mother, Jayashree, alleged that she was taken to the labour room only in the morning, despite developing labour pain the previous night itself. This could be the reason for the death. Superintendent of the hospital said she had started an inquiry and would submit a report to the State Government.
