St. Andrew's school marks Founder's Day

HYDERABAD:
St. Andrews High School celebrated its 21st Founder's Day here on Saturday. Rev. Father K.S.Casamir of Loyola Academy took the salute while the school band with its shining instruments and crisp kilts played on. The highlight of the day was the investiture ceremony where members of the school cabinet headed by Gaurav Boda and Priscilla Mrinalika were adorned with their sashes.
The school topper in SSC Board examination P.Tulasi Reddy was awarded Freddie Emanuel Scholarship. The award carries a cash prize of Rs.25,000 spread over five years.
Science expo at KV
Kendriya Vidyalaya, Kanchanbagh, celebrated its investiture ceremony recently. Vidyalaya Management Committee Chairman V.Chandrasekharan who was the chief guest exhorted the students to develop leadership qualities. He later inaugurated Vidyalaya Exhibition with the theme `Science and Technology for Sustainable Development'. About 120 projects on sub-themes like energy, industry, environment, food and agriculture, education and technology and mathematical models and transport and communication were on display. Exhibits from Language and Literature, Social Science were also part of the show.
Principal S.S.Reddy said science exhibitions would help inculcate scientific temperament in formative years.
