Bank launches sale of gold coins

GOLDEN TIMES: Actor Jyothika at the launch of the Corporation Bank's gold coin sale.

CHENNAI: Corporation Bank on Monday launched the sale of gold coins to its customers and general public at its T. Nagar branch. The coins are of 999.9 purity and are available in the range of 2 to 100 gm. They come sealed in tamper-proof packs, accompanied by an offer of a credit card.

The coins can be purchased during business hours on all working days from the following branches — Anna Nagar, Ashok Nagar, Egmore, George Town, Indira Nagar, Kellys, Mint Street, Mylapore, T. Nagar and Whites Road.

The sale was launched by actor Jyothika. The formal launch ceremony was presided over by the deputy general manager of the bank, S. Satish Nayak, and chief general manager, R. Manokaran.
