AIIMS fails to send Shahbuddin's report
Special Correspondent
Mohammed Shahbuddin
PATNA:
Much to the surprise of the Patna High Court, a sealed cover from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences did not contain a report on the health of the Rashtriya Janata Dal MP Mohammed Shahbuddin and it directed the Registrar-General to procure one through fax.
Justice B.N. Sinha, on opening the envelope submitted by Advocate-General P.K. Shahi, found that it contained only a forwarding note but not the appending report as mentioned in it.
The Bench had allowed Mr. Shahbuddin's treatment at the AIIMS for his spinal problem with the direction that its director submit his report on his findings within a fortnight. Though the director purportedly sought to abide by the court's directive the cover he sent only contained the forwarding letter and not the report.
