Talent search contest on August 30, 31

BELLARY: "Kala prathibhotsava", the annual competitions organised by the Department of Kannada and Culture, to spot the budding talent among children, teenagers and youths of the district in the field of art and music, will be held on August 30 and 31 at Dr. Joladarashi Doddanagowda Rangamandira here.

In the "bala prathibe" for children aged below 13 and "kishore prathibe" for teenagers (aged between 13 and 18) can participate in competitions held in Hindustani (instrumental), carnatic (vocal), classical dance, sugama sangeet, drawing and folk songs.

Youth, aged above 18, can participate in the "yuva prathibe" competitions in Hindustani (vocal), sugama sangeeta, classical dance, elocution on "nanna nechchina sahiti", drawing and carnatic (instrumental). Participants should produce their age proof and have to bear the travel expenditure. Assistant Director T. Kotrappa has asked the interested to register their names before August 29 at the office of Kannada and Culture Department, Cultural Complex, Anantapur Road, Bellary (ph: 275182).
