JAIPUR: A month-long campaign, "Krishi Yojanaen Aapke Dwar'' (agricultural schemes at your doorstep), will be launched in Rajasthan on September 15 to promote activities related to agriculture, horticulture and animal husbandry. According to an official release here on Tuesday, the drive would be initiated as a follow-up to the "Kisan Mahotsava-Jal Chetana Yatra'' -- which ended recently -- with active participation of elected representatives, farmers and officials of the State Agricultural Marketing Board and other departments concerned. During the programmes to be organised at the village panchayat level, cheques of subsidy in response to applications received in the Kisan Mahotsava will be distributed and vital information about the Government activities helpful for farmers will be provided. The release said the farmers would be helped out in submitting applications for subsidy and other assistance to various departments. Agricultural equipment, sprinkler irrigation systems, plant protection gadgets, plant culture packets and other hi-tech inputs will also be available for sale at the assistance centres during the campaign.
