Assembly stalled

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Opposition parties on Tuesday stalled Assembly proceedings for over 20 minutes demanding a discussion on welfare of minorities and information on quota for Muslims.

The pandemonium forced Speaker K. R. Suresh Reddy to adjourn the House for 10 minutes. The TDP, TRS, CPI (M), MIM and CPI had served adjournment notices demanding immediate discussion. As the Speaker announced the question hour would be taken up, members rushed to the podium.
