  • Airliner to offer three lakh tickets under the scheme
  • Air Deccan operates 270 flights a day

BANGALORE: As part of its third anniversary celebrations, low cost airliner Air Deccan is offering three lakh tickets at Rs. 3. Opening on Wednesday, the "3 for 3" offer will hold good for the months of November and December and January.

Passengers will have to pay Rs. 3, besides the necessary tax and surcharge.

Air Deccan Managing Director Capt. G.R. Gopinath said in a press release: "These special offers are part of our strategy to encourage and enable more people especially non-air travellers to take to the skies."

He said from one aircraft and four flights a day three years ago, Air Deccan had grown to a reliable and efficient airline operating 270 flights a day, connecting 55 destinations across India.

"With a current fleet of 36 brand new aircraft, we have flown 6.2 million passengers till date and the numbers are growing every day," he added.

Capt. Gopinath said the major concern for passengers had been on-time performance. Air Deccan also announced that bookings on all its ATR (short haul) sectors would open on Wednesday between October 30 and January 31.
