Test of strength and endurance

THIS WAS not the usual "beauty contest" but more to do with health and fitness and muscular strength and endurance. There were 500 participants in the contest sponsored by a fitness centre, competing for the Mr. and Ms. FitnessOne titles. There were contests for those aged below 35 and those above.

The contestants had to run 1.5 km, do sit-ups and push-ups, bench presses and wall squats to reach even the finals.

Veteran cricketer Syed Kirmani, fashion designer Manoviraj Khosla and Arjuna Award winner Ashish Ballal were among the chief guests. Rahul Batra and Katie Samuel were judged the title winners at the end of it all.
