Bomb hoax in two schools

BANGALORE: Two schools in the city on Tuesday received calls saying that bombs were planted there, which the police later found to be hoax.

According to police, the first call came to Kuwaituallah School on Bore Bank Road in Benson Town around 10 a.m.

A person informed in Urdu that a bomb was placed in the school. Rizwan, the teacher, who took the call, informed the headmaster, Anantaramu, who informed the J.C. Nagar police.

The police came to the school with bomb disposal and dog squads. They searched the premises for nearly an hour and found that it was a hoax.

Similar call was made to Sara English Medium School in Rajendra Nagar in Adugodi police station limits around 11 a.m.

The headmaster, Bhanu, who received the call alerted the police. However, this too turned out to be a hoax.
