NEW DELHI:
In a show of strength in the run-up to the Delhi University Students' Union
Posters may have been banned on the walls, but it certainly didn't stop activists from flooding the roads with it.
And complete with two elephants and two camels, the University finally got a taste of election fever.
Rustling up a large number of supporters, the rally began from Arts Faculty, moved from college to college to finally assemble at the Vice-Chancellor's office.
NSUI activists also submitted a memorandum to the Registrar.
Listing out the long-pending demands of the students, NSUI has asked the authorities to speed up construction of hostels and allot land for construction of new hostels. They have also asked for private hostels to be regulated and a committee to oversee the function of these hostels be constituted immediately.
NSUI has also demanded a compact campus and more professional job-oriented training.
