Good response to Swarnim Bharat Yuva Padayatra

Special focus on guiding youth to take up constructive activities

  • Belgaum to Bangalore padayatra from Thursday

    Belgaum: The nation-wide Swarnim Bharat Yuva Padayatra undertaken by Rajyoginis of Prajapita Brahma Kumari's Spiritual University, Mount Abu, Rajasthan, is evoking overwhelming response from the youth all over the country, said Rajyogini Brahma Kumari Chandrika (Ahmedabad).

    Addressing a press conference here on Wednesday, she said the padayatra, which took off in Mumbai on Sunday, laid special focus on the youth of the country. It would involve them in character building, promoting selfless service, culture and spiritual consciousness, besides creating awareness about the advantages of adopting value-based lifestyle.

    She said the programme also aimed at guiding the youth from different caste, religion and cultures towards creative and constructive activities as against misuse of their power. The need of the hour was to educate the youth and general masses on leading a life free from blind faith, superstitious customs, bad habits and addictions on one hand and enhancing their inner powers such as tolerance, courage, self-confidence, cooperation, etc., through meditation and realisation of innate values such as ever-lasting peace, purity and true happiness.

    In all, 1,100 permanent padayatris were participating in 31 yatras covering almost all the States, including nine cities. The padayatras were being taken out to cover a distance of more than 25,000 km. Each team would cover a distance of 350 km to 950 km. Over 15,000 programmes, including seminars, workshops, motivational talks, group activities, were being organised, she said.

    The padayatra from Belgaum to Bangalore would take off on Thursday. It would be flagged off by Brig. Sandip Sen, Officiating Commander, J.L. Wing, Belgaum. The inaugural function would be presided over by Rajyogini B.K. Ambika, in-charge of Belgaum, Sub Zone.
