New Delhi: Everyone has a hero, someone that they respect or admire or even emulate. A saviour, a protector, a movie star or even a stranger maybe. And now it is time to reward those ordinary people who might be strangers to us but have kept the spirit of heroism alive. Honouring the unsung heroes who have risen above and beyond their everyday lives, Star Gold has announced "Rang De Basanti Salaam", a contest that will highlight and honour individuals whose actions have had a positive impact on society.
Entries invited
Under the programme, "Rang De Basanti Salaam" entries are invited from individuals who know of unsung heroes under the age of 30 years. More information is available on www.indiya.com and the last date for submitting entries is September 3. A panel of judges will select 10 entries and Star Gold will telecast a special episode narrating these 10 stories. A Star Gold release claimed that it would keep the flame of heroism and courage burning in October with the telecast of the much talked about film that has inspired the initiative, "Rang De Basanti".
