Centre urged to modify education bill
Special Correspondent
PANAJI:
Goa State Primary Teachers' Association(GSPTA), affiliated to All India Primary Teachers' Federation(AIPTF), has expressed concern about the provisions of the "Right to Education Bill, 2005" and has urged the Centre to modify the provisions in the light of the recommendations of AIPTF before passing the bill in the Parliament.
The AGSPTA members in Goa held a day's dharna on Wednesday to press for the demand. In a meeting , the members warned that the teachers across the country under AIPTF would resort to agitation in New Delhi if their demands were not met. They said the provisions would act against the interests of the elementary school teachers and educational administration.
